Yup...this stupid accident caused $8K in damage to my car.
Add to that the damage from the accident it got in when I'd had it for a month, and it will have had more $$ in repairs than it cost to buy.
Re: $8K in repairs!
Was it your fault or the other person's? What kind of accident was it?
According to the police report, it is a hit-and-run, and they have no info for the at-fault car.
Thankfully I will only have to pay my deductable, but my poor car has just taken (not at fault) beating after (not at fault) beating. It's such a victim.
And now I'll have the rental ride until mid-Dec. But that's cool, because I actually kinda like it.
Sorry Y_L.
The important thing is that you didn't get hurt. I hope you get your car back soon.
Dude, I'm actually really surprised it was fixable with damage that high. That is a LOT of repairs. I'm so glad you guys are ok.
Damn those hit and runners.
I really hope that karma gets your H&R driver! I'm really glad you're ok, but I know it sucks.
Hit and runs are so lame! Glad you are ok though. Maybe it's time for a new car with better luck.
I'm honestly surprised, more insurance companies are totalling cars out than repairing them lately.
If it helps any, there's been a good increase in H&R during the last few months as more and more people are no longer paying their auto insurance premiums (another downfall of the economic times). It's usually easier for your insurance company to handle it as a hit & run rather than someone who didn't have insurance, making the claims process faster since there isn't another party to deal with.

I have also been in multiple accidents 2 not at fault one that was my fault. I have also paid more in repairs combined than the cost of my car.

hopefully your deductible isn't too bad. ;(
