Do you keep fresh flowers at the hose always? Where do you buy them?

Re: Poll - flowers
I rarely do, but would love to have them always! DH gets mad when I spend money on them. So, I buy them when I know I'm having guest over... or when I'm feeling down in the dumps.
On occassion, he buys me... but seriously, they die so quickly! I've told me where to buy them if he wants them to last longer, but he normally just buys them on the way home from the man on the street.
Fresh Market has gorgeous bouquets that last long. But I rarely go there, so I try to buy my flowers at either Publix, or Costco (whichever I'm at).

I only have them if its a special occasion, but I would love to have them weekly. My dad bought my mom roses every week, it was so sweet and always looks so nice.
We are on a tight budget though so since that's not a necessary expense, I cut back there. It would either be to cut that our my weekly latte at Starbucks - I choose Starbucks! haha

I agree with Jen, the ones from the guys on the street have lasted the longest for me. A few times those flowers have lasted almost a month.. I usually put either a cap full of bleech or an asprin in the water if they dont come with flower food...And make sure to change the water 1 time a week..That seems to really help too. Sometimes I buy my flowers at Albertson's and they last awhile too.

Not sure where you live, but my dad found a man that sells them on the street and they are AMAZING! He's on Bird and 102 Ave (North corner in the dentist parking lot). They are $10 for 25 roses! they open up HUGE! My dad brings them to me every once in a while, and when I have guest over, they always think they are fake b/c they open so big.

I buy them every Saturday at the salon where I get my nails done. A man comes by and sells them for $5. They last me the whole week.
Ok, I am kind of obsessed with ALWAYS having fresh flowers in my home, and am sort of a self-proclaimed florist, so every week I buy a few different kinds from a guy who brings his cart to my office building. Then I take them home and make a few arrangements to put around the house. His flowers always open great and he guarantees them - that is, if they die within three days, he will replace them free of charge. Luckily, that has never happened! I ice my flowers every day to keep them perky and snip the stems every other day to keep water circulating. The name of his company is the Flower Club, and his name is Gerry.
Also, when I have events at my home and need a lot, I buy flowers from Berkley's Wholesale Florist in the warehouse district. They sell them really cheap and the quality is amazing.
