Thank you.
Note: This only affects The Nest's community members and will not affect members on The Bump or The Knot.
What do you think? For someone moving to Indy, where are the best schools? Neighborhoods/areas for a young family to live? Overall, where would you live, or where do you enjoy living and why?
TIA!
Re: Best of Indy?
Hey there--I leave in Seattle essentially but I still subscribe to Indianapolis Monthly because I LOVE INDY and hope to move back someday . Regardless, they just published an awesome issue focusing on "the best of the burbs". It gives a run down of all the Indianapolis suburbs, highlights, education info, community feel, median income, average home price etc. etc. Here is a link if you want to check it out--it is something I will hold onto for quite awhile!

Gotcha. Sorry for the late reply, but was gone for work...
If I could relocate anywhere in Indy, I would really stay within the downtown-proper area. I would choose to live in Fall Creek Place or maybe somewhere on the Near North or some of the super near Eastside communties like Cottage Home or Lockerbie. I like the idea of living close to the urban center. DH and I work downtown, so I would love to be able to walk to work or at least have a very short commute. (Commute & traffic being the Number One reason I could never live in a Hamilton County suburb- not that it's nearly as bad as some of the major metro areas, Seattle included, I just couldn't personally do it) I also think Indy, like many downtown communities, is seeing a resurgence in their downtown and it would be fun to take part in that. DH and I also hate gardening and yardwork and enjoy the cultural and diversity benefits of living downtown.
