Applied to grad school...

...for my second master's. Am I nuts? Stick out tongue My last school paid for 6 hours toward my English as a Second Language certificate, and now my new school is going to pay for the last 9 hours to finish it, and I would only be 16 hours away from a 2nd master's in Curriculum and Instruction...so I figured, what the heck? I might as well...move myself over on the pay scale.

I think I am crazy. But I love classes, I can take them all online, and I figure I ought to get most of it out of the way before we start having kids...

  • That's awesome! Good for you. I've wanted to get a second masters in something...just never could quite figure out what that something was.

    Wow, good for you!

After Master's #1, I said no more school for me! Good luck to you; you're right, now is the time to do it before you have a family and when you're getting some $$ from your school.

I don't think you are crazy! I just finished my first MBA and while I am glad I am done for a while I still dream of law school or going back to get an English degree! :)

  • DH did the same thing...he's got a PhD in a subject unrelated to his software job, but work was willing to pay for an MBA...which also doesn't have a whole lot to do with this job. But since they paid for it, and like you, he loves taking classes, so he mostly had a great time. He's still trying to figure out a way he could con them into paying for a Master's in history, his favorite subject. :)

     GL with your classes!

  • That's great!  I love school and miss it sometimes.  I finished my masters degree in 2005 and plan on going back to get my PhD in the next 3-5 years in the hopes of being a college professor.  Good luck!
