Where to sell used technology?
We have a laptop and a desktop that we'd like to get rid of. I looked at some sites that offer pay for laptops, but I'm not sure how legit they are. We would really like to be able to get some decent money from them as we want to buy a new mini laptop with the profits.
FWIW, the sites offered $150-$200 on the Gateway 7000-series laptop. I would like to get $100 from the laptop and $250 from the desktop. Does this seem reasonable at all?
Where would you try selling yours? Would you trust the sites like cashforlaptops.com?
Re: Where to sell used technology?
To start, I'd like to say that I would definitely NOT trust a site like cashforlaptops.com. When it comes to gadgets and technology, the only sure way to sell is face-to-face, and with cash.
This was previously discussed in the thread "Looking to sell macbook pro where?" if you want to see the advice everyone gave in there.
Give craigslist a try. There's almost always someone in the local area looking for a deal on a computer.
Sorry, this isn't my "home" board and I didn't notice it below. Looks like Craigslist is the most recommended option!
No need to apologize! I was just trying to be helpful in pointing out the link.
