I'm New Here

Hi Ladies,

 

I am new here--to the board and to the area.  I'm originally from Central Pennsylvania where I had a very active nest life  Our board was really active and many of us got together regularly....Anyway, I live on the Eastern Panhandle, in Harpers Ferry and I am hoping to plug into the community...I live with my SO and our 3 dogs, a kitten, and an amazon parrot (i'm not a fan of the parrot!!).  Anyway, who's here and what do you guys do around here???

Hello and welcome to the board! I am from Pt. Pleasant, WV, so about 5 hours way from you!

I really think I am the only person that checks this board anymore, and as long as I have been posting nothing has gone on. I like to check it daily just to see if anything new has happened.

Oy!!  That's so different from PA.  We have several boards and everyone is so active...Anyway, thanks for getting back to me!!  I am trying very hard to make WV a new home and it's been hard so I thought this might be a way to "plug in"  Tell me about yourself?!

Well, let see! I am 21 and a senior at Marshall. I got married in June and just started a new job at a local bank. We don't have any children yet, just a couple pets that keep us occupied. I love to read, cook, and scrapbook. Jason and I love to ride bikes even though we rarely have time to. He is a 911 dispatcher and is on permanent night shift. He is very outdoorsy and is in the woods right now. . .

I'm so sorry it took me so long to get back to you!!!  Thanksgiving is my family's big holiday so I was in PA for 5 days doing the turkey day thing and preparing 3 days before that.  Anyway, we are also quite outdoorsy...hiking mostly and camping.  We've both travelled the world too--me by choice and him because he was an Air Force brat.  We're not married, but we will be eventually.  We have 3 dogs, a cat, a bird, and a fish--no kids yet, but we intend to start trying in February when my BC runs up...let's see...my ticker is old and I can't figure out how to change it.  I actually graduated in may--with two masters and I work a loooooong way from home in baltimore.  Any big xmas plans?

Welcome to the Eastern Panhandle. ?I'm in Martinsburg. ?My husband and I are laid back and spend way too much time at home. ?We want to get out more, but we haven't found much to do here. ?We have a dog and a cat, which are our starter babies. ?My husband is a satellite installation tech and I'm currently looking for a job. ?What other interests do y'all have?

Hey!  Didn't know if y'all were still adding to this...I live in Ranson with my husband of 9 months.  We both moved here from Loudoun County (VA)...still getting used to being "out here"...I'm a teacher and he's a sales rep.  We enjoy going out, sports, home improvement, wineries, and our cat!   What is everyone up to as we begin 2010?

I don't know about everyone else, but I'm ready for spring to get here. ?We've been staying inside trying to stay warm resulting in being on the computer and Xbox 360 way too much. On the upside, our pets have enjoyed all of the attention they have been getting. ?How was everyone's New Years? ?We aren't too far apart JmeandJay. ?I am in Ranson often actually. ?How are you liking West Virginia?
