Boxing Anyone?

Anyone here like boxing? I'm the daughter of a pro boxer so obviously it runs in the blood. I find very few women who like the sport. If you like the sport, who is your favorite boxer? What is your favorite weight class to watch?

Re: Boxing Anyone?

  • I like to watch boxing but don't follow it per se.  I love Oscar de la Hoya - the man is fine!!!  Typically I like middle weight.  Heavy weights don't move around enough for me and seem to wait for just one punch.

Stallone had that televison show a few years ago that was pretty cool.  Oh and boxing at the Olympics is always awesome.

Oscar was an excellent fighter. I also like when he went again Shaq and still won even though Shaq had an obvious height, weight, and arm reach advantage. I enjoy watching fly weight, light weight, and heavy weight. I have to admit though that the sport is not as good as it used to be. There are very few true good fighters. Most of it is bombarded with sensationalistic promotions. I still love watching the Olympics though,it hasn't been tarnished yet.

  • I like boxing as a sport but I don't follow it as closely as I do other sports. It makes me sad that heavy-weight boxing is nothing like it used to be. I enjoy all weight classes though. If I had to pick a favorite fighter it would probably be Francois Botha. I've liked him for years.
  • I like boxing, but I don't watch it that often. H has gotten me into it, and we'll watch a lot of the fights we can catch on TV - especially the big ticket ones - but I don't follow it that much.

I'm a huge Kelly Pavlik fan...

I never pay for PPV fights but if Pacquiao and Mayweather ever fought-I would purchase the fight.

I sometimes think in my other life, I would've been in a boxer. :)
