WFD Tonight?

I have no idea what we're having.  Anyone have any good ideas?

Re: WFD Tonight?

  • One thing I like to make for dinner on Mondays is Italian Sausage with sauce (there are Italian sausage sauces) over your choice of noodles. Very yummy and very easy.
  • I was going to post the same question.  I have no idea either.  I think I may just take it easy and eat at my mother in laws.  She's an amazing cook and it makes it easier on me.  Plus she loves having us.  I'd love to hear everyone elses ideas though.

  • Since DH is out of town all week (image) I am on my own for dinner. ?I'll probably just make a veggie burger on an english muffin and some rice.
  • I'm making some pasta with italian sausage, shrimp and ground beef. It's amazing what a simple spaghetti recipe with some thrown in sausage, beef and shrimp can do!

I've really been craving jambalaya, but I haven't found any sausage to use in it.  In Alabama, there's Conecuh sausage, which is my favorite sausage ever.  It's kind of spicy, and it's got a great smokey flavor.  I always used that for jambalaya, but it's not sold anywhere but Alabama (and maybe the Pensacola area).  So I'm getting a bunch of it to bring home and freeze when I'm there this weekend.  Then I'll be able to make some jambalaya.  Still no clue what I'll do tonight, though.
  • I started marinating some chicken last night in some jerk seasoning we bought in St. Lucia.  I'm so excited for it.  Not sure what I'll do for sides. Probably good ol' rice and black beans.
  • Just to add a lil something to the convo.  I did make Italian Wedding Soup from scratch for lunch today.  It was really good.  And I think this week I want to make flat bread pizza on the grill.  I saw Bobby Flay do it on Boy Meets Grill and have been dying to try it.

Mm, I love Bobby Flay.  I'd probably like his food, too, haha! :)  I've seen him make something like that (or maybe the exact thing you're talking about).  I think all of his food looks delicious.  Let me know how it turns out if you make it this week!

  • I made some yummy Cuban sandwiches on the Panini grill. SO YUM!
  • We had paninis too :-)
