Does everyone have Friday off?

I am so happy that this is three day work week for me!  H and I always go and cut down our tree the Friday after Thanksgiving, but this year we are going Saturday since we have Bruins tickets for Friday.

I WOULD have had it off in lieu of Veteran's Day, but a co-worker is going out of town to spend the holiday with her family, so I told her I would cover her files... because I'm nice like that.

Honestly, I know it's going to be quiet around here on Friday, so I might actually be able to get caught up..

No. I wish! DH does. Grrr.

There are only 3 of us here at the hospital that day and it will be nuts. I'm not looking forward to it.

I do, but I work at a university and they give any holiday off. We'll be traveling back from my ILs.

I do and MH took it off. My company closes the day after thanksgiving and the week between christmas & new years. That said we don't get MLK Day or Presidents day off.

I only get New Years, Memorial Day, 4th of July, Labor Day, Thanksgiving & Christmas... I have a lot of flex time though... I think we earn 6 weeks a year (including holidays)

Yea, it's a nice perk. Some years it's longer than others depending on when the holidays fall.

ditto!  it's awesome having that week off.

I've worked every Black Friday since I started working in retail (many, many years ago, lol..). It's actually pretty fun to participate in the craziness and get paid for it. I'm going to get up early and hit a couple of stores before I have to go to work though!

A Christmas tree! Lowe's is going to have some good prices on them.. and I haven't decided what else.. I'm going to get a paper on Thanksgiving and peruse the ads..

I wish! I have to work 9-12 on Friday. At least I'm not cooking or having anyone over. I'd love to have a 3 day work week though.

I take the day off. I've never lived close enough to my family to get back to work that day.
