So my husband and I are looking to get a new camera. I know there are soooo many out there now so I am trying to figure out which would be best for us. I really want just a good point and shoot camera. We dont do a lot of fancy stuff so just something that is good to take on vacations and that kind of stuff. Any recs? TIA

You want a Cannon Digital Elph. It is an awesome point and shoot camera. You can find them on sale (or an older model will be cheaper), but don't go below about $200 unless it's a great sale. You get what you pay for.
It's very fast between pictures, even with a flash, and the picture quality is great. They're also durable, I have one I bought 4 years ago and it's still going strong. Don't waste your money on a cheap camera, you'll have it for a long time so get something that is easy and fun to use.
