So, I'm curious, what kind of 'diet' are you doing? How did you decide that this was the one for you?  I just see protein shake and other regular foods you list.

Lots of thumbs up (ok, I only have 2)-to you for doing this!

  • I don't know if there's a name for it.  BL started off doing it about 3 months ago (I think) and she's lost 35 lbs.  I just TRY to substitute 2 meals (usually breakfast and lunch) with a protein shake, and really you can put whatever you want in it, I just choose fruit.  I continuously drink water.  Say for instance, I drink my shake when I get to work, 8am.  I'm good until 10:30 with drinking the water, I bring an apple and eat that at 10:30 and I'm good until lunch with drinking the water.  At lunch (providing no one buys lunch and I get to go home) I make another shake and grab another apple to bring with me back to work.  I eat the apple, depending on when I get my lunch, around 2 or 3.  Then for dinner I eat whatever I'm cooking, I just eat half of what I would normally eat.  The shakes are just made with Whey Protein powder.  I blend it with skim milk and whatever fruit I feel like, I have a personal one-the-go sized blender so it makes it easy to measure it all out.  I honestly didn't think it would work for me, but decided to give it a shot anyway, and so far, so good.  So mainly my food comsumption during the day is fruits and veggies(<---if I get a salad for lunch).  I also try to limit my breads and starchy stuff.  I did have some over the weekend because M made some toast for me and I had a couple small small pieces of pizza.
