  • 1) How many days do you have off this week?

I am off tonight, I will be working 7pm-7am Tuesday & Wednesday & Friday night. (It's my "holiday off" and best case scenario I will be leaving work at 730 am Thanksgiving morning. Technically I am "off" but I have to work 7.5 hours that day... blah!)

    2) How are you spending your Thanksgiving? Working until 730 am, waking up DH and making the 2.5 hour drive to Clinton County to see our families & eat at 3 different houses. (In other words exhausted! haha. Nothing like being up for a minimum of 36 hours and having 3 helpings of turkey... tryptophan and lack of sleep are not a good combo!)

    3) Do you have the traditional turkey dinner or something else?

DH's father and step mother do traditional, my family does traditional, DH's mother and her parents do like a meat platter thing which is fine because by the time we get to their house more food is the last thing on our minds!

    4) How are you spending your Black Friday and Weekend?

If I am not delirious, DH and I will hit up the outlets in Lancaster at midnight on Thursday and then I will catch up on sleep until I go into work at 7 pm Friday night. We are heading to Baltimore this weekend for the Steelers vs Ravens (go Steelers!!!)

    5) What is a special tradition you have at the holiday?

We don't really have any Thanksgiving traditions. I used to like the holiday but I haven't enjoyed it since I became an RN. I find it exhausting and wish I didn't have to stay up all day to do the family thing but then again last year I had to work Wed & Thurs night and we couldn't go home and that sucked too...

    6) name 5 things you thankful for.

DH is up and walking again! (stupid broken ankle), spending time with my aunt this past weekend, DH & I have good jobs and are hoping to buy a house this year, family and friends I will get to see this holiday season, I have a pile of books to read whenever I find the time!
