I've found several places up there I like, and I was hoping some of you might be able to give me some advice about them. We'll probably be up there again the week after Thanksgiving, but we're still getting the details worked out. Since it will be a short trip, I want to maximize our time and not waste it looking at places that aren't so great. Any advice is appreciated!
Here are the places we've seen online and liked so far:
Gayton Pointe Townhomes
The Carriage Homes at Wyndham
Lexington Village (privately owned rental)
Jamerson Park at Twin Hickory (privately owned rental)
The Townes at Hunton Park (privately owned rental)
Thanks so much for all the help! It looks like we'll be there the second week of January, so I'd love to have a GTG if anyone is interested.
Re: Richmond/Glen Allen ladies
I'm afraid I can't help you with the rentals, but let us know when would be a good time for you and maybe we can arrange to meet up somewhere!
GL!

Jamerson Park in Twin Hickory is a townhouse community that is part of the larger Twin Hickory subdivison and was built a few years ago. I've been in several and they are very nice. 2 story townhomes with 1-2 car garages. A lot of young couples live there I think. Twin hickory has a pool, tennis courts, and trails.
Carriage Homes are part of Wyndham which is down the street from Twin Hickory...these are 2 big subdivisions in this area, both are nice areas, and they are right off of I295 which is nice, but still close to Short Pump (all the shopping, food, etc). Wyndham has a couple pools, tennis courts, volleyball, trails, etc. (I think you get access to those as part of the Carriage Homes).
There's also the Cottage Greene Townes from Ryan Homes in Ashland. My husband and I just bought ours last March and we're loving it here.
The townhomes are for sale only and they are brand new, located in Hanover Co. which is one of the best places to live, specially if you're planning on having kids this county has the best public schools and is very family oriented. Ashland is a historic small town, very cozy and warm it is amazing that they found the space to build townhomes here but I sure was glad to find it as this is a privileged area to live.
I'd say it is worth checking it out when you guys come up here. The price again is quite affordable for Hanover county and for being located in Ashland the re-sale value is always very good.

Hi again! Sorry I'm late to this thread (I haven't checked this board lately), but DH and I used to live in the Carriage Homes at Wyndham. I can confirm that access to the Wyndham area facilities like the pool, tennis courts, etc are NOT included as part of your lease. Carriage Homes has its own pool.
Let me know what else I can help with! We live in the area!
