We're currently building our new house so we're not doing gifts this year. We're just going to go out to eat somewhere we enjoy and save the gift money for house stuff.
Last year, we didn't buy each other gifts either. We needed new bed sheets really bad so we saved the money and got some awesome sheets (4 pairs) at TJ Maxx after Christmas for great prices.

a scrapbook with pictures of him and his dad. His dad passed away 8 years ago but now that we have a young daughter I thought he might like showing her the pictures and telling her some stories of her grandpa. His mom is helping me out with the older pictures.
Ties, he keeps telling me he needs new ties when he is getting dressed for work... so that was an easy one.
