Anyone going to see The Dark Knight?

I really want to see it.  We'll be in Alabama this weekend, but I think I might try to take Eric and his little brother.  When I first saw the preview, I couldn't even believe the Joker was Heath Ledger.  Then I saw him with that huge grin.  There was no denying it then!  I'm still sad about him--I really liked him as an actor.

Re: Anyone going to see The Dark Knight?

  • DH and I are going with some friends this weekend.  I can't wait!  Heath was such a good actor and they say his performance in this is amazing.
  • its a friends bday this weekend and she wants to go see it...

i would love to know how tickets are working (are they preselling like today for this weekend?) or are we going to be ok going that morning to get tickets for the night?

  • I am sooo sooo sad this is the last Heath Ledger movie. Crying I loved him! I have all his movies his death was the only celebrity death where I was genuinely sad. I feel like I grew up with him. . .

  • I'm not sure when we'll go, but we definitely want to see it.
  • Its part of my required wife duty to see this movie but I'm super excited about it.  I loved the first one and I remember seeing the trailor for this one and was just blown away by Heath.

I am very sad about Heath as well.  He was so smart and so good at his trade.  I loved how he did the controversial "Brokeback Mountain."

  • I can't wait to see this movie.  We will be in Seattle this weekend, and luckily there is an IMAX theater there.  Can't wait to see it on the super huge screen.  Internet buzz about Heath Ledger's performance has been great.
  • We are going to an Imax theatre on Friday to see.  If you are going to an evening show, you will definitely want to get your tickets in advance, I think they are starting to sell out.

  • Imax show?  Where?!?!?

This one is supposed to be really dark and depressing, but I'm still looking forward to it.

    Imax show?? Where?!?!??

    ?

This one is supposed to be really dark and depressing, but I'm still looking forward to it.

The only Imax I know in Orlando is at Pointe Orlando.?

  • Most def!!!  DH & I are so looking forward to it...

  • Christian Bale is nom nom nom. I think we're going to hit a Sunday matinee to see it.?
  • We are seeing it this Thursday night at midnight with friends.  I love seeing the midnight releases, especially when it's a movie I'm super excited about.  I definitely want to see it but I'm kinda of dreading it.  I hate that it's Heath Ledger's last film.  He seemed like such a genuine person and I loved that smile of his.  I loved the last one and B really loved it so I'm sure we'll like this one even more.  I even heard that critics think Heath will get an Emmy nod for his work in this film!
