Need gift ideas
Lucky for me, SIL hasn't put any restrictions on what I can/can't get the kiddos for Christmas...although, at this point some sort of wishlist would be great because it would mean that I don't have to think about what to get them.
Ok, so there aren't really any kids in my family yet (really, there's only 2: my nephew (DH's godson) & my niece (my goddaughter). Nephew is 21 months (he'll be 3 in Feb) and niece is 4 months now. So here's my question......what in the world do you get a 3 year old and a 5 month old for Christmas??
All ideas & suggestions are welcome. TIA

I'll tell ya what we are getting for our 14 month old Nephew. Dh is getting him a bulldoser to match the dump truck that we got him for his birthday...Also bath toys..The dump truck he can sit on so maybe something like that for the 3 yr. Or what about a tricycle? Does he have one of those?
For the 4 month old, well just think what you would get for Carley...a doll, or a nosy toy..lol something that sings. blocks...
Thats all I can think of for now. If I come up with something else I'll post again.
For your nephew - Do you know what he likes? Most kids have some kind of favorite character or show at around that age. When my little brother was 2-3 he LOVED Barney and Toy Story. Just go to Toys R Us online, I'mm sure you'll be inspired!
For your niece, I don't know if she's old enought to enjoy toys yet - maybe shoes or clothes?
Nephew - anything Thomas the Train! We took our nephew to TRU for his bday (2 yrs old) and he almost fell out of the cart when we got to the Thomas aisle! We ended up getting him his first wooden train set. His parents actually got him the table for Chirstmas.
Niece - I really like the Leap Frog line... they have stuffed frogs for that age group that help them learn about colors, numbers, songs, etc. We got niece one for her first bday (1.5 mo old) and she really liked it as she grew.

For your nephew - I second Jackie's reco. My 3 yr old nephew loves Thomas. I picked up a Thomas floor puzzle for him and will likely get him some more books as my SIL says that he has way too many toys.
For your niece - At 4 months, she's probably learning how to sit up and trying to rollover so maybe any toys that she could use while she has tummy time? Bath books since baths are probably getting to be more fun. And a cute dress?
