What are you doing for Thanksgiving? Hosting or Attending?

What are you doing for Thanksgiving?

Going out?  Staying Home?

If you are Hosting at your house, how many are you having over?

Sami and I were invited to a friends for dinner.

I tried again to post a poll and had a major FAIL!

Re: What are you doing for Thanksgiving? Hosting or Attending?

  • We head to the IL's for Thanksgiving. Parade in the morning, eat, read the paper & plan the attack for Friday, nap, eat some more, watch football, dessert.

I have a lot to make for Thursday though - Pumpkin Cheescake, Green Beans & onions, mashed sweet potato, brownies, & I think I am going to attempt a pecan pie (Just learned after 7 years with DH this is one of his fav's)

  • We are going to DH's parents' house with my mom.  I am making yams, green beans, turnips and a cranberry jello dessert I found in a magazine.
  • We are going to my mom's house (which is four condo units down) LOL.  So we don't have to travel, which I looooooooove.  I am in charge of doing a cheese/cracker/pepperoni tray, the turkey! (cause DH gets one from work), and butternut squash (yummm). And at midnight, we are going to Lee Outlets Pajama Jam, in which you go up to the outlets in your pj's and the first 500 ppl get free gift bags which has something from every outlet!! (if anyone wants info on this, just ask me)

  • What are you doing for Thanksgiving? I'll be going to my MIL's, but I'm cooking the turkey, stuffing, and cranberry sauce (from a can) as my contribution.  On Friday, we'll be driving up to MA to visit my family and bring my grandmother some leftovers.

  • We're going to DH's aunts.. 8 old people and us. That's going to be SO much fun........... Indifferent
  • We're hosting. Including us there will be like 11 people probably more. It's my dad plus Scotts moms side of the family. It makes me want to dive into traffic, they're so annoying!!

I'm glad we don't have to drag the girls anywhere though!!!

  • We're attending (but I'm making the desserts) - we lucked out this year and both sets of parents reached a mutually agreeable holiday split where my ILs go to my parents for T-day and then my parents will go to ILs for xmas day dinner.  *SO* excited we just need to go to one place each day.  :o)

  • We're going to MIL's house for dinner....all 4 of us....gotta love small families.
  • going to my parents on the actual day, its just us, my parents ,and my brother. for that day im making banana bread with choc chips, pumpkin bread(that FI can eat with all his wacky food allergies), a pumpkin mousse layered dessert, "oatmeal" cookies FI can eat, acorn squash soup, and baked ziti. not to mention i have to bring our pressure cooker for the turkey since mom decided thanksgiving is a great day to make a ham.

then the next day its on to the inlaws with his parents and sis. not making anything for that one, just bringing leftovers

  • "We" will not be a unit this thanksgiving.... Bryan is working. I am going to my little brother's football game early in the morning.... then to my grandmother's (i have never been to this grandmother's for t-day!) for the meal and then to my dads for dessert! No in-laws since DH is working and i have a lot of running to do anyway.... we will have them up soon :)

    Happy Turkey Day!
