Need some anniversary plans...
We would really like to go out of town for our anniversary in Oct. We have only lived here for 2 years, so we are coming up blank on where to go. We drove up to Michigan & Bangor for the anniversary before last. We would like to drive somewhere maybe 4 hrs or less away so we don't break the bank on gas, somewhere where there are things to do/see, somewhere where there is yummy food. We are not outdoorsy type people.
Any ideas?? We need to get a plan and book rooms. Any help you guys?
Re: Need some anniversary plans...
you really should check out French Lick Resort/Casino- lots to do, golf, spas, wine tasting, casinos, great restaurants, etc. We had a work conference there and it was awesome. You could stay at the resort- or at one of the bed & breakfasts there in town- I can't remember the name, but there is one across from the resort that is really nice. Anyway- West Baden Springs hotel is awesome- a little pricey, but a great anniversary splurge.
Only about a 2-3 hour drive from Indy.
Lola,
French Lick Casino might be a great idea. We love casinos and miss Vegas so much since moving here. I will have to look into it to see what kinds of games they have (I like penny slots, DH likes poker tables) and if they rooms are too pricey. Thank you for the rec!!
