Skiing we will go!
I am so overly excited! DH has never been, and I haven't gone in over 11 yrs. And the decision was made in less than 24 hrs.
Wed - BFN
Thurs AM - I mention to DH we should go skiing
Fri - Dh mentions to friends we ARE going skiing!
Sat - we buy our ski coats
Mon - DH starts researching where we will go!
Woohoo! This has been quite the yr for us... and we feel we need some time away. Now we have a whole lot to look forward to during the holidays. We want to leave Dec 30, and come back Jan 5 or 6. Dh contacted a ski travel agency (ski.com) and they gave us great tips and prices on different options. Now we just need to narrow down where we want to visit. We are thinking Colorodo.
Any recommendations (city, hotel, rest., etc)?

Thanks to everyone. We are def looking to get away and get our minds off of things. We are both so excited about the trip. This is the first time I've seen Dh so excited about a vacation! LOL And he's so excited about having a fireplace in the bedroom... so one never knows what may happen! : )

Yay that sounds like so much fun! I have never been skiing, I can't go because I have a bad knee, but I want to go to a room with a fireplace too
