Children's Table at Christmas

We will have 4 little ones this year...6,4,2,1...

Re: Children's Table at Christmas

  • We always ate the same food as they did at the adult table. We had little decorations for each of our place settings. We were too excited for presents to care about games at the table.

  • I dont' know that I would be seating a 2 and 1 year old at a kid table.  Especially the 1 year old.

  • Well obviously the 1 year old wouldn't be...the 2 year old would be 3 by Christmas.

I'm just stating ages for ideas...

  • If there is only 4 kids and they are all under 6, they either should sit by their parents or eat before. My family and DHs both have the younger (10 and under) eat before then play while the rest eat. This let's the parents enjoy their meal without needing to dish up or help their kid while they eat.

  • I'd check with the parents to see if the kids are easy to please eaters.  If they are, go with the adult food.  If not, check into what they like (pasta, chicken nuggets, mac and cheese, etc.) and plan accordingly.  For decoration, use a white paper table cloth or butcher paper and let the kids color on it.  For decorations, maybe fun sippy cups that they can keep?
