Hey ladies! New June 09 bride here.
I'm Kristina. I'm from a suburb of Los Angeles and I teach middle school. My husband is Christian, a native of Cleveland. We met in grad school at Columbia University and I convinced him that LA was a much better place to live. We got married on June 27. I spent a lot of time on the LA board during the planning stages, but on TN it's a lot of baby talk and we've got a long way to go before jumping on that bandwagon.
I'm a big fan of wit, cooking, baking, chocolate and alcohol of most varieties.
We go together like a wink and a smile. June 27, 2009

Welcome to J9!
I'm in shock we've had three newbies in the span of a week. So many girls fled after June and especially after we got booted to the Nest that it's kind of amazing we're picking up newbies.

I'm glad we can bond over alcohol vs. babies, however we don't have to agree to disagree about NYC v. LA. I love, love, love, LOVE NYC. I lived there for grad school and would move back in a heartbeat if it weren't for the fact that my husband and I both have steady jobs here as well as my family. I was merely saying that LA is better than Cleveland. I like LA and all but NYC takes the cake any day. I think we'll get along just fine Choo
Sorry, the above message was supposed to be a quote to Choo's response.. I'm showing my newbie status apparently.
Thanks for the warm welcome everyone! And Lark, I'm in the Northridge area, so not too far from you!

Is that really even a question?
Sadly, I have wide feet and a limited budget so I don't tend to buy many fancy shoes (though I do admire them and wish my feet would fit in them) but I certainly do have lots of shoes. DH can't quite figure out why I have/need so many, but luckily he's just stopped asking.

Welcome! I'm Megan, I'm in upstate NY, married on June 26th.
i think you'll like it here... baby talk is kept to the minimum, and lots of us are into cooking and baking ? we even started a J9 cooking blog, though I don't think it's been updated in a while...
