Thanksgiving day plans
What are your plans for Thanksgiving? Are you feeding a bunch or having a more intimate gathering? More importantly, how many days off in a row do will you get off?

We're going to a friend's house. We are all Portland Transplants and no one has family here. A bunch of our friends are traveling to see family so those of us that aren't are getting together. We'll have 5 people.
And as for days off, well I get Thursday off. Hospitals don't close. I'm lucky to have Thanksgiving off. I have to work Christmas day.
This is the first thanksgiving in a long time that i have off. I work in hospitality, so while everyone else is gone, we have to work. I started in a medical ward, then worked in dog boarding facilities. Now i'm at a dog daycare that doesnt board, so they can close for holidays (what a weird feeling!) so this year, FI's grandfather is really old (in his 90's) and cannot make it into the valley for holidays, so we're driving out to him thursday morning (a long 6 hour drive).
where I work is closed on weekends, but we get thurs and friday off too!
We're going up to Longview to have Thanksgiving dinner with my Grandparents, Mom, and Uncle.
I get Thursday off, I'm taking Friday off, and Monday is my regular day off (well, every other Monday) so I have a 5 day weekend coming up. I'm really excited! Just have to get through today!
Thanksgiving away from DH and either family, but will be spending the day/weekend with one of my best friends, her kids, her friends and their kids up near Seattle. I'm not feeding anyone, but brining a few things. I can't wait to host Thanksgiving again, someday when we have enough room! I love a crowd and love to cook for them!
I get tomorrow and Friday off....working today.
(Oh, and I ordered my pies to Beaverton Bakery to pick up today.)

I like how I didn't answer my own post/questions.
I'm off today to get off my feet (I stand all day at work), working tomorrow 8-3 then having just one friend/adopted son over for dinner with DH. It's going to be a vegetarian thanksgiving with a whole vegan turkey (I'm a little scared of it) from whole foods (aka whole paycheck). Off on Friday through Monday and we're headed to Seattle saturday for the marathon.
It looks like it's going to be gorgeous today! Enjoy the day!

SDgirl- Yes, DH and I are running it. Any idea around which mile markers you'll be cheering from? I think I'm wearing all black so I won't stick out much. I should have "Bubbles" under my number on the bib, so look out for me anyway and say my name.
I'm crossing my fingers for no rain, although it's pretty dumb to run a marathon in November in Seattle of all places. dduuumbb.
My guess is probably mile 10 or 14, and at the finish line. What's you pace? I'll keep an eye out for you!! I know at least one sign we're holding up a sign that will say "GO Team Li-Chelle!" (an abbreviation for ou friends names).

we're hosting a small little thanksgiving! it will be DH and I, and then my old roomie and her new roomie (she's currently living in montana and on her way right now!) and then DH's law school friend and his gf. should be fun
i'm nervous about cooking all the food, esp since i've never cooked a turkey before! but it should be fun!!!
i get all the days off because i'm unemployed
butttt i have an interview next week! woo!

I don't normally work Thursdays or Fridays, so no extra days off.
