40th Birthday Party Venues
Looking for ideas/venues of where to have a surprise 40th birthday party other than someone's home.

I can't give you specific venues, but you can hold it a banquet hall, a restaurant, a regular hall, a park (although most usually have alcohol restrictions), and even some museums allow you to rent it out (although I have to imagine it's not cheap to do this).
I just hosted one for a friend at a local pub. It was great! People could come and go, and order food if they wanted without me having to foot the bill for everything. I put a sign up with a bundle of balloons and called it a day. I still get compliments on how much fun everyone had.
