40th Birthday Party Venues

Looking for ideas/venues of where to have a surprise 40th birthday party other than someone's home.

 Thanks for your help!!

Re: 40th Birthday Party Venues

  • Is it a male or a female? Are males and females both going to be invited? That really matters... Also, if you are looking for SPECIFIC venues, ask your local board! HTH

  • I can't give you specific venues, but you can hold it a banquet hall, a restaurant, a regular hall, a park (although most usually have alcohol restrictions), and even some museums allow you to rent it out (although I have to imagine it's not cheap to do this).

  • I just hosted one for a friend at a local pub. It was great! People could come and go, and order food if they wanted without me having to foot the bill for everything. I put a sign up with a bundle of balloons and called it a day. I still get compliments on how much fun everyone had.

  • I think restaurants are always a good idea for birthday gatherings.

  • We started at our house so everyone could gather and have appetizers, and then we all went to a local amusement park (the smaller ones that have games, go carts, miniature golf, etc.).  DH enjoyed it.
