Re: Who's around? Traveling?
I'm here. At work until 2:00 - my office is closing early.
This year is Turkey Day with my family, so we don't have to go too far. Two houses to hit, lots to eat

I'm here, but only until 12:30ish. Then its home to do some last minute prep.
My parents and brother are coming to us, so we don't have to travel (very nice). So I'll just be taking care of some last minute straightening.

I am here. Rumor has it that we MIGHT get to leave at 3. I am hoping I can too since I am on call today. Traffic is already going to be a nightmare here.
No travelling for us. We stopped doing that many years ago.
We're taking the kids to the Smithsonian in the morning and then home for a light and easy lunch (turkey breast, sweet potato fries, Isreli cous-cous salad, cranberry chutney, carrot cake cupcakes with cream cheese frosting) and hanging out with a friend of ours.
We might go over to another friend's parents house later in the afternoon to let our kids play.
Then I am back at work on Friday.
took today off. sitting on the couch reading (work) email. off for errands soon.
We're heading to NJ tonight or tomorrow AM.
We are both in today...
. They are giving us two hours off early, but unfortunately I am acting chief today for my area, and C is a chief, so we have the responsibility to (wo)man the phones for our areas until 5:00pm
.
We have no plans to travel and we will spend Thanksgiving loading up the van and taking things to storage (I will be the one loading). C's mom will be here in a couple of weeks and I have so much to do; every minute we have free from here on out will be spent getting the house in order.
Yesterday I found out that I am more than likely "expected" to go to Geneva at the end of April next year...the babies will only be a month old. Uh...problem... You would think it would be a no-brainer and that I would just say no that I cannot do it. Unfortunately, my boss's boss doesn't see things the way I see them. I am hoping to work my boss's emotional side and get out of it without ruffling any feathers...this will definitely be a topic of discussion this weekend. Bottom-line...if all else fails I will just be "sick" during that time LOL!
I hope you have have a safe and wonderful Thanksgiving!
I am here, just peeking in as the pecan pies bake. Next up, pumpkin.
We only have a 20 minute drive tomorrow, we will be with my family. I am so excited for everyone to watch PBS toddle around and to see LMC's dress.
I hope everyone has a wonderful, safe holiday. I am always thankful for you ladies :-)
