Looking for a foster home for a dog...

Hi Chicago/IL nesties,

I'm trying to help a friend find a foster home for a stray dog that was found in Eureka IL (between Peoria and Bloomington).  We are calling her Hope.  We are trying to get this pretty, sweet girl into a rescue, and I think I may be able to find some rescue support, but none of the rescues I've found so far have foster homes available, and many of the rescues are in the Chicagoland area.

Hope's story is a sad one.  She was found as a stray, and a good samaritan fed her, and while she was at first timid and shy she climbed into her rescuer's lap after her meal.  The rescuer called the local police, who returned her to her owners.  She then returned within a short period of time to the good samaritan's home after she escaped her owners who were going to euthanize her.   She seems afraid of men, and we suspect her previous owners may have abused her.

If you might be willing to foster (or know someone who might) or know of any good rescues in Chicago or IL that help all breeds or pitbull breeds specifically I would love to know about it.  She is a sweet, dog-friendly girl, who just needs a chance.  Her behavior is unknown with kids, and cats, and seems to be afraid of men (and who could blame her- they were taking her to be euthanized).
