  • Tonight we are having dinner and watching a movie with the family. We are doing Thanksgiving at SIL's place. Friday, the plan is to go and get our tree! I am so excited! As for the weekend we don't have any real plans. It would be nice to go to Disneyland.

  • Yay for a long holiday weekend!
So I wound up having the stomach flu last night...caught it from C
    - thanks, babe!  Luckily I didn't have it as bad as him but still, it
wasn't pleasant.  Now we're hoping and praying and hoping and praying
Sarah doesn't get it.  I really don't want to spend our whole holiday
weekend with a sick baby!  So far, she seems fine!
C helped me put together my Jr League newsletter and is mailing it
out for me today...what an awesome husband!  I've just got work today
and will probably be let go early.  Depending on the time, I might
pick up Sarah.  She takes her nap from 12:00 until about 2:30 so I
don't want to interrupt her schedule.
We're doing Thanksgiving here...just the 3 of us (5 if you count Riley
and Murphy!).  We're having turkey, corn casserole, stuffing, mashed red potatoes, spinach casserole (or salad, haven't decided yet) and rolls with a Dutch apple pie for dessert.  Yum!
No plans for serious BF shopping...we're done with Christmas shopping
so it would just be "extra" stuff.  I am getting my brakes done that
morning (wooohooo!).  I saw a couple of things in the BB&B ad that I'm
interested in...we'll see how it goes and how much my brakes wind up
    being!
Saturday I'm going to CMM and pick up my pieces!  I can't wait to see
how they turn out!  That night, some friends are coming over for fondue night.  Nothing planned for Sunday which I'm really excited about!
C is going to start working on the Christmas decorations tomorrow
so hopefully those will all be done by Saturday...
Hope everyone has a GREAT day and holiday weekend!

  • Tonight we will make pizza and lay low. We ended up adopting a rescue puppy on Saturday, completely unplanned. We have two others, so now there are 3 pugs at my house. My DH took her to the vet Monday and even though the foster parents said she was healthy....she has 2 ear infections, a respritory infection, a skin infection and a parasite! So she is on a bunch of meds, and yesterday I came home to a bunch of "presents" left by another one of the dogs and they werent healthy looking ( i know too much info) So we took him to the vet last night and he is on meds. Its a complete disaster...

We are thankful, still, that we adopted her and probably saved her little life but man its a lot...

Tomorrow I am making a mini Thanksgiving for the DH and pups and then we are going to his parent for a HUGE feast on Friday. I plan on laying low for the rest of the weekend, just glad to have 4 days off!

You should post pics of your rescue puppy!

Your "presents" episode with the dog reminded of how last night, dh and I had just gone to bed and all of sudden we hear this hacking noise. One of the cats threw up underneath the bed. I was soooo mad!  Of course dh doesn't fit under the bed, so I had to crawl under there and try and clean it up.

Now thinking about it.. we should have just lifted the mattresses up. Anyways, so gross. I am going to switch their food to the one for hairballs.

  • In Sacramento until Saturday for Thanksgiving at my parents.  So nice to be"home."  Campbell had an opportunity to play with his "cousin" Audrey and he gets to see his "big sister" Emma later this afternoon.  Of course, he has to recover from the split lip he got earlier today slamming into the front step!  All boy.  DH comes into town in about an hour.

I've been walking without crutches a bit more (YAY!), but sadly, won't be able to do the 10K tomorrow that we do every Thanksgiving morning.  Boo.  So I'm going to watch DH in the 10K and lament this injury instead.

Getting our Santa photos done on Friday.  Best time to go ... everyone is shopping and no one brings their kids to the mall to meet Santa!

    Happy Thanksgiving ladies!

    Jen :)

  • c'mon, no 10k on crutches?! Sheesh, lol :)  J/k... glad you're healing... sorry it is such a slow process!

Not sure if I have plans or not- still sick and I don't want to infect the world- so I might just stay home all weekend... only time will tell!! :)

     Happy Thanksgiving to all!

Don't worry about tomorrow. After all, today is the tomorrow that you worried about yesterday. Take each day as it comes...one at a time. Midnight Baking Adventures Blog
