I tried to set up my "roommate" in Montreal with a woman I know there. Beforehand I told her in an e-mail that I really wanted her to meet M and that he's awesome. While out for coffee, I said something about how I was squatting at M's place and she said that it's not squatting if you're married. I asked her to clarify and she said, "Oh! I thought M was your husband!"

Oh I want a G2G. I don't know why you insist on going to cities where you know I won't be. And I can't even go that weekend (or whenever it is) because C has to be in NY on New Year's Day.
How long are you planning on being there? Why haven't you come to NY? I don't want you to go to Montreal without me! I can be your tour guide! (My tour guiding is of the same caliber as my matchmaking.)

Funny, we're also going to NYC in 2 weeks for a day. Don't kill me haha
We're going to be there for 2 days. We got a room at the Sheraton, super cheap, so we'll be out and about if the room sucks haha... I wish you were going to be there! I'm so bummed.
And I'm super I'd adore your tour guiding skillz. This is assuming your matchmaking skillz in this particular case are accidental in nature. Also, your poor H. Is this friend not on FB? How did she confuse the 2?
Wait - I will likely be in NY in 2 weeks! Can we really G2G?!?
As to the matchmaking - She said he thought he looked different from his pictures - but I don't even think she looked at my FB because she also asked if I was married (she's not a close friend, obviously). (In case you want to make the comparison - my roommate is our "very reliable witness" to our wedding in pic #17.)
