No chop??

I am pretty sure there are a TON of posts on chopping hair.  Are there any girls that ARENT chopping their hair?  Or if your trimming your hair not making any drastic changes?  DH says he loves my hair longer, so I went and got some layers added and I love it!

Re: No chop??

  • I am not chopping my hair.  Husband loves it and it took me so long to grow it this long.  I am planning on dying it a light chocolate brown (my hair currently has blonde highlights).

  • I didn't chop either. I had donated my hair about a month before we were engaged so I was freaking out about how I would get it to be long again for the wedding. I'm actually going to continue to grow it out to donate again in a couple of years!  (plus I look goofy with short hair Big Smile )
  • Not planning to chop my hair. I have had it short for a few years now and just barely had it long enough to do something with for the wedding so I think that I am going to let it continue to grow for a while. Plus DH is liking that it is longer, he has only known me with short hair.

  • not right now. My hair used to be to my hips and I chopped it an inch short!!! i am still trying to grow mine out. i loved it that way but i am ready for a change and I kinda like having a ponytail. I will prob chop it off eventually cause short hair looks better on me and my DH likes it short too

  • I probably will eventually, but don't have any plans to yet. And I'm not super anxious to change it, so I might as well wait.

I also really want to get b-pics done, so I want to keep it long for that. I didn't have the time or money before the wedding, so I'm thinking maybe doing them for our first anniv (paper).

  • I am not chopping my hair!  I have naturally curly hair.  The shorter it gets, the frizzier it gets lol.  I prefer not to look like a Q-tip :)

  • I'm not chopping either. I did the same as you, just trimmed and cleaned up the layers that ad long since grown out to allow for my wedding 'do. I also made it back to my originally color, a medium brown, after over-highlighting for ages, and DH adores it this way... which is nice since it involves no maintenance! My hair is very thin and has never been this long, but it's healthy and looks pretty good... plus I just started taking pre-natal vitamins so it should be long and luxxurious in no time!  Wink

  • I've had both short and long hair - my family will tell you they think I look better with short hair but DH loves it long. I cut it about 1.5 inches shorter and added a ton of layers. I also darkened it up a bit from blond blond, to more ash-blond (so more low lights). I love the outcome and DH thinks it looks even better than before.

I will eventually make a bigger chop, but I'm happy with it long for now. And, I enjoy having a pony tail.

  • I'm still on the fence.  I haven't cut my hair in about 11 months so it is due for a trim at least.  I think it looks better shorter but DH really likes it longer.  I might give it a whirl over the chilly MN winters and see how it goes.  I might get too annoyed with it and chop it yet.  As it is right now, I'm putting it up in a clip at work all the time just to keep it out of my eyes.  I thought about donating it but discovered that my highlights disqualify me since it reacts with whatever they use to process it for making wigs.
  • I didn't get mine chopped either.  I did that once a few years ago (donated over 12 inches to locks of love) and I hated the short cut.  Sounds selfish, but I'm not ready to do it again!

  • I only got a trim also. I had so many compliments on how good my hair looked long, and I was liking it also...so I only got about an inch off.
  • My hair is thin and fine, and looks awful if it gets at all long.  So I just never let it get all that long for the wedding.  I'm planning to have it cut on Friday, but that's just the usual cut to get it back to where it was.
