D) I am sleeping in and then going to be on TN catching up

E) I am staying in bed for as long as possible, ignoring all phone calls and emails

Re: Will you shop on Friday?

  • My choice is E but I think Jason is thinking C.

  • G.  Other.   I am going early but I am a "nice" black friday shopper. I wait in line, would never grab something away from another.  I also go to usually buy stuff for me so if I don't get it, oh well!  I am going to Sears early to buy a table saw and mini shop vac for M.
  • If it helps I think Sears is offering black friday deals online tomorrow.  Not 100% sure on that but its worth it if you have time tomorrow to look.
  • Well, most stores out here open at midnight (or earlier), so...

    I'm A/D/G.

I'll be out at midnight, but home by 7:00 or 8:00 and then in bed until noon or later. Then I'll wake up, post on TN for a while, and then try to get some work done. Or go see *New Moon* again.

  • F/G - I will be at work but we start the day with an 1.5-2 hr. breakfast and then check email.  Follow this by shopping and then leave for lunch/more shopping.  I'll come back check email again and leave 1-2 hrs. early.  Working but not hard at work.  With that kind of day, it is hard to justify a vacation day for me.

  • Somewhere between B and C. I won't be up at the crack of dawn and I won't injure old ladies and children (unless they make me), but I will probably be going out around 9, so not sure if that is considered sleeping in.
We have so much time, and so little to do! Strike that, reverse it.

  • Hmm..E. DH and I don't need to be spending any money right now and we don't really need anything..
  • C & D

I can't do it. I hate everything about BF. The waking up early, the cold, the lines, the trying to find a parking spot, the shoving, the frenzy, and the unwashed masses. NO THANKS.

  • I will be H. putting up the Christmas decorations at our new casa before leaving town for Chicago. I abhor Black Friday.

If this is what BF was like around here than I would skip it.  It really feels no different than any other day of shopping.  Maybe it's the Minnesota nice thing going on.

  • I looked at the ads, and honestly, there was nothing I was even interested in buying. Ever since the wedding, I'm so sick of buying stuff and putting new items away that I never want to go shopping again!
  • I'm going with B... I never wait in the lines but am always there super early.   The hubs and I plan on leaving our place around 6 am this year.  However, as of now there isnt too much on our must have list so I'm not super excited for it.  We'll see what else I find in the ads tomorrow.  I'm hoping to get 95% of my xmas shopping done Friday so hopefully its a successful day.

(Oh and I've never actually hurt any old ladies or kids and dont intend to - although people shourld really leave their kids at home on BF that's just stupid - but my sister and I have got into several arguments with a few.)

  • I pick G.

Not shopping on Friday at all. It makes me homicidal.?

  • I NEVER shop on BF. I hate it. Plus I do not like to do anything Christmas-y until Dec. 1st.

I will however, check out a few websites for online shopping sales.

  • B.

My mom, sister and I go every year. Most of the time we don't even buy that much but look at it as a bonding experience.

  • F/D - i'll be at work, but i cant say i'll be hard at work...

  • A friend and I have been going for the past few years and have a blast. We usually are in line right when the stores open, but we aren't shoving people out of the way.
  • G - as in hell no!  Never will I ever shop on BF.  Not worth it to me!  But it is also psycho around here on BF.  That is my day to decorate for Christmas!! :)

  • B for us, we love to get out and do all the shopping! Definitely not at the crack of dawn, but try to get out there somewhat early! Lots of great deals!
