i just accepted a FB friend request from my mom.

it's been sitting there for a few weeks, and i wasn't sure if i really wanted her to see my madness on facebook.

but i got to thinking - she follows me on twitter and reads my blog every day.  what else could she possibly see that i haven't already put out there?  heh.

Re: i just accepted a FB friend request from my mom.

  • I accepted one from my aunt who is the nosiest woman on earth. So I accepted her and blocked her from seeing status updates/links  and tagged photos of me. Done and done. lol.

  • I'm pretty impressed that your mom is cool enough to do FB.  My mom is still trying to figure out email, years later.

I probably should have done this with H's aunts. Instead, I made a rule of not friending aunts/parents/ILs, etc. on FB. MIL and my mom totally understands this, the aunts, on the other hand, are pissy about it.

  • Very cool of your Mom!
  • I just started adding family members.  Maybe now they'll finally start to understand me and quit asking me dumb questions during family gtgs.

  • LOL!  I did the same thing when my dad sent an FB request.  I sat on it for awhile and then felt bad because I knew he would bring it up the next time I saw him and also because my younger cousins were his "friends".  I never post on FB so now I am sure never to post anything.  I also have things blocked so you can see the bare minimum.
  • I pretty much add everyone. Most of my status updates are harmless, and there are no pole-dancing pictures of me on FB. Co-workers, though, are blocked from seeing almost everything.
  • My mother doesn't have a cell phone...let alone a facebook.

    I did friend my MIL.
