First Christmas Ornaments?

Have you gotten one?  My mom's step sister sent me one that you put your picture in and it's okay but I want one that's really pretty/special/creative... I don't know exactly what I'm looking for but if you have one, please share!

This is where DH gets sentimental.  When we got his first tree two years ago, he said that every year we need to get a special ornament together.  And we have. We usually pick it out at the German Christmas Market in downtown Chicago.  It's usually just something we both agree is funny or pretty.

Karen, I remember seeing you post that somewhere else and thinking it was so sweet.  I can't think of any kind of sale that might have something... I will have to keep my eyes out.

Dh and I pick out one ornament a year together.  Or if we are out doing something special we will buy an ornament that means something to us at that time.   That is special to us....

We've also seen things we liked at Hallmark, Kohls and Macys.

IL got us an ornament that says first christmas or something on it and we can put a picture in it but that is it so far. DH has two cats that climb on everything so I'm not even sure how much we will decorate. I know they are definitely not happy that we now have picture frames sitting in places that they normally decide to lay. If fact they knocked our wii off of the table just a couple nights ago.

We got one for a shower gift; it's a glass snowflake from Hallmark with the date and first christmas together.  Last year after we got engaged my parents gave us a Precious Moments Cinderella and Prince Charming dancing.  The got the CUTEST one for a wedding gift from a friend.  It's the back view of a get-a-way car with the bride and groom (who just happen to look just like us) driving it.  Then "just married" is written on it the date and our names and tin cans!  I'll need to take a picture of it and post it...

Have you tried ornamentshop.com?  I have bought several cute personalized ones throughout the years for gifts.

things remembered also has some beautiful ones that can be engraved and a couple that hold a wedding picture as well. HTH
