AI retires

I'm really not a basketball fan but I've always been an Allen Iverson fan. I think he's being selfish by not accepting a role player position/wanting to only play if he's a starter, but even still it'll be weird without him in the NBA.

Re: AI retires

  • I've been an AI fan, as crazy as that dude is.  I'm sad that he's ending his career this way, if it really ends up going down.  Although I agree that he needs to accept a changed role, I would argue that that's not him and never has been.  Shoot, I wish I could retire in my 30s :)
  • This kinda surprised me...I thought he'd just take a break, not fully retire.

It makes me wonder what else is going on with him and what underlying problems are affecting this [if any]...now, two of his old coaches are gonna try to talk him out of retirement. Guess we'll see how that goes.

  • He has to be one of the toughest guys that has ever played in the NBA.  At only 6 feet tall and 180 pounds he always drives the lane and never fears the big guys!  It's going to be said to see him go.
  • Interesting twist on things.  Sorry, don't know how to make it clicky:
