Does it make you feel weird

that some posts get over 200 views but only 8 replies?  Before they had the view thing we knew there were some lurkers, but now it seems like their are a million of them!  Hello lurkers!!!

Yeah, I do think it's a little weird. ?Like when I posted some new pics of Ben the other day, it got a lot of views, but the only people to respond are the same people who always respond to my posts. ?Then again, those who respond are my friends, so I guess it makes sense. ?*shrugs* I also think that a lot of the people who "left" or whatever still read the posts though. ?I think I liked it better when I didn't know how many people were viewing posts...

yeah me too!  I just got the "due to high traffic on the message boards" error message, and kind of started laughing, not here on the NH board!!

I think it's odd too! I am sure what Jeanette said is right, most of the ones who "left" still read our posts... also, I know that when I respond to a post, I go back in and read every response the post gets. If everyone did that, the views would multiply pretty quick The other boards don't show # of views, right? I know D&R doesn't!

I also go back and view posts to see responses a lot, but lately I've not been responding much cause between work and weddings Ive been working 70+ hours a week

Yeah I feel the same way...it' odd, but I also agree I tend to go back if it's slow on the board and read all the responses, then if a new one comes up I read that too, so it does add up I am sure!

I re-read posts a lot when they get new responses, sometimes even if I didn't respond to start with.  If we are all doing that, I'm sure it adds up!  I agree, though, that some people who left/choose not to post anymore are probably still lurking.

Alittle bit... But I always watch what I say on hear with everything.. you never know who is lurking behind the scenes! = )

Once you join the nest you ALWAYS come back. Haven't you noticed! I mean it's just addicting, unfortunately. I mean we all have met some very nice people, at least I think most of us have.

I reread posts a lot - to see what other peole say and also cause I flat out forget what a post was about, lol. But I'm sure there are a ton of people lurking as well

if im involved in a post, then i probably look at it a bunch of times. Sometimes I try to think of something to say, but I just really dont have anything to add and I don't want my post to look like i tried to think of something to say.
