Can we pweese pick a date? (NOLA 2010)

I know its far off, but I've started researching travel for NOLA and already the flights I can use my miles for are going like hotcakes.  I'd rather spend that $800 on Karrey's hand grenades and some muffaletas.

I know it's hard to know what's up that far in advance, but it will be easier to plan the rest of our lives around a specific event.  It doesn't mean you have to book a hotel now...just pick a weekend.

If it's any incentive, if I can book it now, I will have enough miles left to help 1 person out with a ticket. Smile

I was feeling all easygoing about it until I saw the "3 tickets left at this price" sticker on united.com.

  • I voted :)  I voted for the 9th/10th, that seems to be the best weekend for us!

  • I picked 2-3, but really I could do any of them.
  • I voted for Oct. 23-24, but I'm pretty open.  I know I'll have a staff meeting at work on the morning of Oct. 9, but if that's the weekend that works for everyone I'll just fly out that afternoon.

  • I picked 23-24.  Reasons: the later in October the better for dodging hurricanes and unbearable humidity.

ETA: Obviously because it is home to me, any date whatsoever works for me but I want everyone to be able to enjoy themselves and not get hung up in bad weather.

  • I would probably forego the trip if it was the 23rd or 24th as Hunter's first birthday would be the 21st and I'm sure we'd be doing something for him that weekend; although we could always do it the weekend before as well I suppose....

  • The later the better for me. It's hard to take off time in the begining of the school year.

  • I'll ask DH if he has any preference or work commitments when comes back from work, and I'll vote later!

(We want to make it our vacation and take a week to go to or from FL to NOLA)

  • I voted 23-24, but I may be out that weekend if DH's BFF is getting married then.  My sister is getting married 10/9/09, so I'm out for that weekend.

  • I voted 23/24 - I'm all for cooler weather. My attendance will depend on whether I'm squeezing out a baby or not. . . NOLA will make me feel better if I'm not (by then)!
  • I voted for the 23-24 just because it's closer to our anniversary, and we'll likely take off work to turn it into our anniversary trip. And, I'm all for the less chance of a hurricane and cooler weather too!

  • The only weekend I CAN'T do is the 16th (Dh's bday).

  • The only weekend I can't do it is the 23rd.
