Christmas Came Early - Not the Baby ;)
Nooo, not our baby boy, lol. 
Apparently he's pretty comfy in there. But DH mentioned that my Christmas gift would be here early this year (even after we said we weren't going to do anything big, ugh, men). It arrived today while I was home - a Kitchen Aid stand mixer, woohoo! It's pretty heavy so it's still in the box until DH gets home to put it on the counter. But it will be perfect for all our baking needs. And it's here in time for our holiday baking GTG next Saturday!
Now all I need is a book of great recipes so we can get baking. Does anyone have any tried and true recipes that you've used in your stand mixer?

Yaaay you are going to love it!! I use mine weekly. I literally use it for everything I bake, everything! I make cookies in it, muffins, quick breads, everything. You can even use it to make mashed potatoes and a bunch of other stuff that need whisking, kneading, mashing, etc.

I don't have a cookbook for it, I just use every baking recipe I have in it, and any bread recipe as well.
