Gardening gloves and clippers
My SIL asked for some gardening gloves and clippers for Christmas and I have no idea what would be a good style/brand to buy her. They live in an apartment, so she has several container gardens + herbs + smaller pots on her balcony. Any recommendations? Thanks!
Re: Gardening gloves and clippers
For gloves, I recommend a style that has leather palms and tips. They last a long time and are great if she ever has to touch anything thorny. It might not be an issue with a balcony, though. As a homeowner with a yard, it's a big deal to me, because I pull a lot of thistles, and I need gloves that will really protect my hands from all sorts of scary.
For clippers, I hear bypass pruners are the way to go. You could also get her a pair of kitchen shears for her light work. Kitchen shears are great for cutting herbs.
