Advice on Craigslist...

DH and I just found a chair and ottoman set on Craigslist that appears to be in excellent shape and is the exact match of our entire living room set for 100 bucks. Here's the link..

Is it safe to purchase things like this off of Craigslist? I emailed whoever posted it to see if we could come take a look at it...Never purchased anything off of Craigs before so I'm kind of leary of it...

I've never purchased anything off of Craigs either, so I'm no help.  If you do go, make sure DH is with you in case it's some creepy dude trying to tongue kiss you.

That's not a bad deal! I love craigslist and buy and sell stuff on there all the time. Just like CAK said make sure to bring your DH with you for safety and I think you'll be fine. Of course always go with your instincts and if anything seems wierd just take off. GL!

That is an awesome deal.  Ditto everyone else.  Be smart about it, take someone with you, etc.  I buy and sell on CL all the time and have yet to get burned.  GL!

ditto all the above! I buy alot more than I sell on CL, in fact I bought a baby carrier from a girl today off of there, you really can finds some great deals! just always trust your instincts, if something seems fishy or too good to be true, it probably is...

We've been using CL for years. It's really safe as long as you are smart, i.e. don't go alone at night on a long dirt road with no lights. Like pps mentioned.

Thanks y'all! Just makes me so nervous but I really want that set! I emailed them first and apparently they live in the same area..DH and I wanted to go look at it today but I've got a paper to finish writing and some notecards to finish for an exam on Tuesday..hopefully I can get done in time to get there and check it out..
