What should I ask for......

As you all know Christmas is right around the corner. I have already bought my honey his present and feel great about it. I am continually asked by him what I want for Christmas. I really think I have all that I need, so ladies what should I tell him that I want?

Anyone really want something for Christmas, that is worth asking for??

TIA

Re: What should I ask for......

  • Does he have a budget?

You say you have everything you need, is there something in the area you've always wanted to try like horse-riding, abseiling, ice-skating, rock-climbing, hot air balloon ride that he could buy you a voucher for or take you on a date for.

What about a treat that you never spend money on for yourself like a massage, facial, manicure.

    Some jewellery

Something for a hobbie of yours: a book, lesson, item you would like.

Some of the best gifts DH has given me has been dates. Like the time he took the day off work and took me to the zoo. Or took me out golfing and then to a movie. Or made dinner and packed it up as a picnic to take down to the river.

  • I have a hard time w/ Christmas bc my birthday is on dec 10th. I am asking for a ipod arm band for my bday (i have been running for 2 months and i would really like to have one), and I am asking for a ROAD ID for my b-day (bracelet that has my name, emergency contacts should anything happen to me while i'm running)... For Christmas i want a purse... do i "need" one, no. But I want one. I also asked for a jacket-which i doubt he'll get me. i know he'll get me the purse though.

  • E asked me today if I wanted a new watch, I haven't worn one since before our wedding because mine died and I was to lazy to have the battery replaced. MIL gave me E's grandmother's watch, which is beautiful and very old, but if I wear it too long it pinches, and it is a little to fancy wear all the time. So I asked E for a watch and I spent tonight looking online for what I wanted and told him it was up to him which one me bought me.

  • It's not something that he can purchase, but I asked my DH for a coupon for a clean house (a top-to-bottom, including the light fixtures to the baseboards deep cleaning). We usually exchange gift cards for activities together, dinners out, movie passes, less expensive shows from ticketmaster, etc. Less about the gift, more about the time together, we don't need much either, we usually just buy small stocking stuff, usually more stuff about spending the time together.
  • It's hard to know what to ask for.  My birthday is the end of Oct and I feel like I've barely gotten over than when my parents and DH are asking for a list. There really isn't anything I NEED, but wouldn't mind having.  I've already asked my parents for a bunch of gift cards so I can buy more work clothes after Christmas.

DH drops hints like no other about the things he might want, which is great.

  • I set up an Amazon wish list and have pointed DH there when he asked.  I put several books I've been wanting, a couple choices for cute lunch boxes I could use for work, a couple DVDs, a knife sharpener, magazine subscriptions, and I'm going to add some more kitchen stuff.  It's nice because you can easily update it when you find stuff you like.
