More girlfriends in suburbs in or near Aurora/Naperville
Hi Ladies,
I was just wondering if any of you are from Aurora/Naperville or close suburbs? I would love to have some more girlfriends out this way-most my friends live in Chicago, and its getting too hard for me to make it there very often. Also, I am the first of my friends to get married, buy a house, etc, so it would be great to have a few more friends in this same life stage. Although I love to have fun...hard partying is just not appaling anymore. Just want some girlfriends to see a movie, grab a drink, etc. I am in my early 20's and got married in October. Dont know of any of you suburban girls are in the same predicament.....I just feel stranded out here in the 'burbs sometimes. A few months ago I did get together with a group of girls from meetup.com and we went to Rizzos-it was great but havent seen anything else scheduled for a while-maybe some of you who were at that dinner are on this board?

I was at that GTG! It was fun and we've totally been overdue for another one. That's it, let's schedule one. I'll make a post.
I totally understand how you feel, DH and I moved out here from the city and all our friends are still there so it's tough. Let's plan another get together and get to know each other better and stick with it. And if you ever feel like doing anything outside a formal gtg, I'm always up for a drink or lunch.

Im glad to hear that others are in the same boat being stuck out here in the suburbs...just gets frusterating sometimes to not be in the city where all the action is going on. Meg68 is arranging a meetup for us on Wednesday-check out her post-dont know when and where yet-so hopefully most of us can meetup then. Looking forward to it!
