Im thinking about getting a 15 ft pine tree (blue spruce) excavated from the house I grew up in (my parents will be selling it soon)-and getting it replanted in the yard of the house they live in now.
ANyone know how much this costs about?
Re: Tree excavation?
Tree excavation is when you blast soil away from the roots to diagnose or treat conditions. You want the tree moved, and the price for that varies greatly.
It would definitely be MUCH cheaper to buy a new tree, especially if it's a Pine (is it a Pine or a Spruce?). You'll have to make a few calls. The success rate also varies by size and species. If you have your heart set on moving the tree, make sure you hire someone who has a lot of experience moving big trees and check their references. And one more thing- make sure the tree is staying in the same climate. If the tree grew up in Colorado, it will not do well in Florida.
