Invite your new family over to your home for Thanksgiving dinner (20 people), refuse to let them bring anything, because you think it is tacky, go to Boston Market, pass that meal off as your own cooking? Oh yea, and you presented this meal to your KOSHER in-laws? The person who did this sees nothing wrong with what she did. She doesn't think the Kosher meal is that big of a deal. (Not my opinion, but the screwball who did this)
I heard this on the radio Friday morning, and was blown away. I should have posted this on Friday, but sadly was busy with work.
What is the craziest thing you have ever done to impress either DH's family or your own?
Re: Would you ever......
From what i heard on the radio, she actually unpackaged everything, threw out the containers, and plated everything to make it look like it was home cooked. I have no idea how she worked around making the home smell like she spent all day cooking.
I mean, my cousin handles none of the cooking, though we all gather at her place for the holidays. (she has the most room) and my aunt, grandmother, and her in-laws pitch in and bring stuff, i bring dessert, and so do others. That is the sane way to handle the holidays.
I think the fact she tried to pass it off as Kosher is the worst part..

Wow, so many things wrong with this. Of all the places to get food from she went to Boston Market? Then passed it off as Kosher? Whether you're religious or not that's just wrong, that's a serious matter to some people and shouldn't be thrown out of the window like that. For all the trouble she went through she could have actually cooked a really simple TGiving meal. Turkey, stuffing, potatoes and a veggie and you're done. What a loser
