To TN just totally threw me off! I'm okay now. LOL. I hope everyone had a great holiday! It seemed like time dragged for me, but I got alot done; decorated for Christmas (no tree yet, just other decorations), we had Stanley Steemer come to do our carpets, etc., etc. But by Saturday night I was actually wishing to go back to work! And then this AM came and of course the last thing I wanted to do was get up and go to work! How was everyone's weekend?
Re: The Changes
How did you like Stanley Steamer? They are coming to do our carpets on Friday for the first time (just two rooms and a hallway to start). My long weekend was good, nice and relaxing. DH carried our Christmas decorations up from the basement, but I have yet to put anything up as I'm just so darned tired lately and a teeny bit lazy.
I definitely wasn't ready to come back to work today, that's for sure!
The two young men that came from Stanley Steemer were very nice and polite, I thought they were great, very friendly. We had them do our stairs and our bedroom. We had a lot of stains from our dog when she was a puppy, she had accidents in our bedroom that we cleaned but they still left stains. WELL, all went well and I was very pleased, the carpets look fabulous, all stains were removed. The only thing-is the smell! Our bedroom didn't smell bad in the first place so I was not expecting it to get worse. Apparently when they steemed the bedroom they got up all the stains and junk that was really deep down in the carpet, urine that obviously our spot treatments weren't fully cleaning. Our entire room smells like dog urine. It is horrific. We left the windows open all night and day Saturday/Sunday. Still no help. I febreze'd the hell out of the room, put candles, etc. Today I went in there to febreze before I went to work and it honestly doesn't smell much better. We can't even sleep in there!
DH wants to call SS and "complain" but my feeling is, they did the best they could? It is our fault it smells because the dog had accidents, right!? We paid to have the carpets deodorized so I can't honestly believe they smell worse now..what do you think we should do??
sorry that was sooo long!
