Re: Poll: Wearing shoes in house

  • No shoes allowed in our house. My husband says his grandma always said take the street off your feet.

    I like grandma's statement!

We have a no shoes home also.  We do the same when we go into homes on the Mainland and hotels:  we leave our shoes at the door.

  • I thought that wearing shoes in the house was something that only happened on tv Embarrassed

I don't have any qualms about asking someone to remove their shoes in my house.  Hello - I love my hardwood floors and don't want their dirty shoes scratching it.

Similar to Kaesha - it's winter here for 5 months, and on either side of those months it's muddy and mucky so that may be part of the reason why?
