Again, no big surprise.  Good for him for finally recognizing what's best for the program (although I do not know how much choice he had in the matter ).

I know they have to look out for what's best for the program, and you can't keep fans from talking smack, but I think it's sad that they pushed him out the door.  BB is a legend in college football and deserves the respect of deciding when he wants to retire. Chances are, he was out of there soon anyway. I just think it's sad that he was shown the door.

I'm very sad to see him go, but unfortunately we knew it was coming. It will be hard to imagine FSU without him.

I agree.  I'm surprised he was 'shoved.'

I agree. It sucks that he has to go out this way, but at least he's going out with his head held high. I still can't believe it.

I am not a BB fan..but this was awful and that program should be ashamed of themselves, I don't give a crap that the program had gone down hill this man dedicated 30 plus years and gave countless hours and brought in millions of dollars and this is how his dedication is repaid? Also, could someone get his wife to STFU she isn't helping anything

LOL, I agree.  My favorite was the "we'll go off on a European cruise" bit.

I'm sad.  I really like Bowden.  There's always been a lot of respect between the NU and FSU programs.

But I do laugh at a good Free Shoes U joke.  YWIA.
