My friend and her husband had their baby girl this morning. What so great about this is it was a VERY high risk pregnancy. She was on bed rest for the past 3 months and they were going to do a c-section because they were almost afraid for her to go natural. So the c-section was scheduled for next thursday. Well, she woke up in the middle of the night last night and was in a lot of pain. They were VERY worried. Nothing to worry about. She ended up giving birth naturally to a 6lb 9oz beautiful baby girl just after 10:30 this morning. Both mom and baby (Kaylee) are doing wonderful and Kaylee has actually already taken to feeding! YAY!
Re: New Baby
Ok, it's really hard for me to say exactly what made her high risk. One thing (very little) was that she was a little older. (She's 37 almost 38.) Also, she has high blood pressure. And, what I don't really know much about, is something was wrong with her pelvic bone? (If that's right). I guess maybe it was misshaped so they didn't think the baby would fit without breaking and tearing everything down there. There was something else about the way she was carring that had doctors worried. (Sorry I don't know the more technical stuff.) I think she was actually only on bed rest for the past two months, not three. But even still.....
And no, I'm VERY sad to say I haven't met her. They live in Northern Virginia. We are trying to get up there next month for many reasons but financially it might just not be possible at this time. I'll get lots of pictures though and see her at Christmas. I can't wait!!!
YAY!!!! So exciting. I can't wait for you and Steph's day since I'm living through you guys now!!!!!
Yay! Congrats to the new parents!
