Hope everyone's having a great morning! I'm working on cheering up vs. the venting going on inside (more like a whine session vs. venting).
So, tell me one (or more) happy thing that happened or is going to happen today!
Mine:
-DH is coming home from 'the big hunt'!
-I had some really good coffee this am 
and am being productive with eliminating no longer needed files on my computer

My company has our Christmas party tonight at the best steakhouse in town. We get to grill our own steaks, (over) indulge in complimentary beverages, stuff ourselves with dessert, etc!

I got some great shopping deals online yesterday and am almost done my holiday shopping. Plus, this means I have packages coming in the mail, and that's always fun!
I'm reading a really good book and am looking forward to getting back to it when I go home. It's such a nice feeling when you're in the midst of reading something really engaging.

Veruca - Glad you got good deals yesterday! I just got a ring, but can't wait to get it! Also, which book are you reading? I love that feeling too, and I'm about to finish a book so I'll need something new.
Now, my good thing: I get to bake a pumpkin pie today! Woot!! LOL I know, I bake all the time now, so it shouldn't be a big deal, but I've made two apple pies in a row and I'm really craving pumpkin...

I'm reading Cabinet of Curiosities by Douglas Preston and Lincoln Child. It's about a murder-mystery from 1880s NYC that's been uncovered in present day. The murders are under investigation, and they're bringing up some strange mysteries of the past. Meanwhile, similar style murders are now starting up again. It's a great read so far (I love books by these authors), very suspenseful and creepy if you're into that sort of thing.

BUT... I did get my first Christmas card-from Tennessee! Thought it was a Novembie at first! But it's from one of my former students-who has 3 kids.
My sister and I love their books!! Have we discussed this before? I think I remember finding out that another Novembie likes these books.
Hmm, good thing about today.....I'm looking forward to wrapping Christmas presents this evening. I'm a pretty terrible wrapper, but I enjoy it.
We'll hopefully find out if we can go donate blood to Baby B this week... I called yesterday and they didn't have the orders from the Dr. yet
I'm anxious to help the little guy out!
I got an e-mail from SkyWest airlines this morning, and I'm going for a group interview the first week of January! I'm super excited, and I'm hoping this is a step in the right direction of a new job! Woot!
