Did we talk about the NFL Networks "oopsie" on Thanksgiving?

With the non-editing of Josh McDaniels on the sidelines with his team.  I heard him on the radio yesterday appologizing for what happened.  I felt bad because it wasn't his fault at all.  He's not the first, and won't be the last, coach to swear on the sidelines, but now he looks like a jack @ss.

Any thoughts?

  • I don't see how he looks like the jack@ss when pretty much everyone does it. If anything, the NFL Network should be watching what they're filming and consider a delay. That's the first thing DH said when he saw it.

  • But they have a delay.  It was the NFL networks fault.  They didn't bleep it (even with a 7 second delay).  I just feel bad because as you said everyone does it, but not everyone says it in front of millions of viewers.

I'm sure most people understand its not his fault, but I'm sure some parents are upset about it.

ITA. I'm surprised they don't delay - NFL Network totally should. He's not the first, and won't be the last - he's just the "lucky" one that got caught on tape.

  • I don't see why they bother bleeping.  It's totally obvious what's being said anyway.  Almost every game I watch, regardless of the sport, you see the coach ranting and can totally tell when he curses.

I always LOL when I see or hear sweaing on the sidelines.  Hahahaha I think it's funny to see a coach screaming what the fuuck!? or bullshiit, or any of the other things they say.  Even if it's edited for sound, it's clear as day what they said.

I didn't see/hear what McDaniels said, but I obviously am not offended or bothered by swearing.  If there are kids watching, it's really no worse than some of the camera angles on the cheerleaders bouncing boobies.  Honestly I'd probably rather have my kids hear someone swear than see some of the boarderline obscene shots of the cheerleaders on the sidelines.
