Never been to Flemings, excited

Was it the potatoes that some of you raved about?  I like to plan my meal ahead of time.  Anything to avoid?

Re: Never been to Flemings, excited

  • Going tonight for a biz dinner, so price isn't an issue.  Yey.
  • OMG Sweet potato casserole....(droooooooooooool)
  • Jealous! I've never been, but love their company's other restaurant Roy's!
  • Yep, it's the Fleming's potatoes.  Yum.

After 2 rounds of IVF & 2 rounds of FET, we were blessed with identical twin girls!

That definitely sounds like more than my allotted 600 calories for dinner.  =/

Seriously! Company paid dinner at a chi-chi steakhouse. No calories all the way!

  • Holeyshit.  I am happy with Flemings.  I couldn't believe how packed it was in there.  I saw 3 bankers that we met with TODAY at the bar pre-dinner.  On the way to the table, I stopped to talk to 2 different clients.  Such a small world.  And recession?  Really?  It was slammed in there tonight.

Started with 2 white cosmos.  Yum.

Had some wine (ordered for me) and was giddy to see that it was the good stuff - all I remember of it was that it was $31 a glass, but they got bottles.  Confession?  I didn't really like it.  =/

Had the rosemary bread with some sundried tomato butter thing.  4 pieces!

Caesar salad and butternut squash soup.  I said to the waiter that I couldn't decide between the two and the client said "Bringer BOTH!"  Uh, ok!

I had some bone in ribeye, lobster tail, and they ordered mac n cheese, scalloped potatoes, and creamed corn to share.  There were veggies but I didn't bother with that mess.

Client also ordered me a carrot cake and coffee for dessert.

I'm in a bit of pain right now, but well worth it.

Thanks for all the recs everyone!

  • Glad you cut loose and enjoyed the meal [Y[
  • that all sounds like it was within your 600 cal limit, the coffee might have put you over though.  ;)

    good job!  YesYes
