I saw your reply to a childcare post and wanted to find out where you are taking your DC to right now. I live in Apopka and am trying to find a better daycare...also not really liking where DD is right now...and I don't want to put her somewhere worse. TIA!

Re: **ebi1978**

  • A Child's Discovery Center on Hunt Club Rd. Across the street from the Publix shopping center. Where do you take your daughter now? I am not 100% crazy about this place. But financially it's what we can do for now. It's an older place, but the people are nice.
  • She goes to Happy Faces on Bear Lake Rd. I read good things about yours, too. She and I really like the people but I just don't feel like she's learning a lot and it's small in area so it feels cramped...there is stuff everywhere and her "room" is in a somewhat common area. She was home with a nanny until she was 19 months old and, for example, knew all of her letters by sight and could count to 10, but now I have to help her with some of her letters and she only counts to 3. I don't know, I don't want to disrupt her since we had a bit of a rough transition, but I also want to do the best I can for her. I can get her into Star Child next June, but I have also heard some negatives (too structured and too learning centered) about that one. It's soooo hard, I hate this.
