So, since some time has passed since the last post, and the shopping season has begun, any new gift ideas anyone has to share? I'm stumped as to what to get my parents and sisters, and my 9 yr old godson.
DH and I agreed to get niece, nephew, BIL, and SIL (as housewarming/Christmas gift) a trampoline. They really want one, but they have too many expenses right now (renovating new house).
We are contimplating getting FIL/MIL a foot massager (the ones like the iJoy ottomon). I already got MIL some awesome deal Cole Haan sneakers shoes that are ubber comfy, which she really needs.
Grandmas are getting a nice set of soaps (they always love that stuff) with cream and possible a plant (orchid, etc). My grandfather is so diff to shop for... so prob just a nice top (possible guayabera) for when he goes to doctor (the only time he really leaves the house).
Then there are the aunts... 4 in total (3 of which are married). Last yr I got 2 of them table runners from Pier 1. One aunt loves the wine DH sells, but I don't want to give her the same again. I may go shopping today to Pier 1 for them.
DH's goddaughter requested a dress... the ones that are tanks on top and connect to the skirt w/ an elastic band (one piece)... they are really cute, and it is SO her, so now need to find a cute one.
Re: F/U to sharing gift ideas
I have no clue as to what to get anyone lol. The only one I got something for was my brother, I gave him my brand-new but old ( I used it for a month) phone (DJ got me the newer model BB that came out).
For DJ, he just installed HIDs on his car so that counts as something, but other than that no clue. LOL
Our upcoming ski trip is our gift to each other. We did agree to buy a little something to open on Christmas Day, but it must be ski related... I have no clue what to get him!
He did see some useless in MIA gadget - a snowball gun! LOL But it sure would be fun to have over there! : )

I believe he saw it at Costco.com, but I went searching for it and was unsuccessful. Gotta ask him again. And I meant to say that the gadget is useless in MIami, since it never snows. We would use it once, and chances are would be broken the next time we go skiing! LOL

I gotta check costco then.
But Jackie, even if it breaks after one use, how cool would it be to use it once?
Oh seriously. We are going w/ another couple, and the men are already inventing games out of it! Couple vs Couple: first to admit defeat pays for dinner. LOL

I was really stumped with what to get my dad. My dad has everything. Hes really into working out and fitness. Well, while on vacation I walked into the Nike superstore in San Fran. I noticed they sell these cool gadgets for running like a wallet that snaps into your sneaker and a fancy water bottle for your spin bike. Im going to go online tonight and get him some of those sports gadgets. I saw at the nike store they retialed for like $10 -$15 depending on what the gadget was.
For mom and MIL I went to the coach store and bought them really cute wallets for super cheap!
For my sil I bought her a makeup gift set from mac. They only sell them during the holidays and I know how much she loves mac.
I havent gotten a thing for dh but I know im going to get him new sunglasses since his broke while on vacation. Maybe sneakers and a wallet too.
This year is easy for the parents, I'm getting them a blurb album of our wedding pics . If I wasn't giving them that, I would give my mom some collectible pieces for her Nativity set and my dad a GPS for the car. I would give my MIL nice costume jewelry, which she loves.
I got one of my brothers in our family gift exchange, and he loves to cook and loves sushi so I think I am going to get him a basket of tools to make his own sushi at home. He is hard to buy for!
For DH I am getting him bedazzled headphones, taco holders, and perhaps some other stocking stuffers.
For all my nieces and nephew (who have everything) I am going to give them each a $10 itunes gift cards so they can download and album.
For my baby nephew, I think I'm going to send him over some stuffed muppet characters to play with.
Oh and for my newlywed friend, I'm getting her the same 1st Christmas ornament that I bought myself.
I think that's it!
